Background : The common visual field defect of the anterior choroidal artery (AChA) territory infarction is a quadruple sector anopia, which is characterized by a homonymous hemianopsia sparing the horizontal meridian. Case report : A thirty two year-old male presented with blurred vision for 1 year. A perimetry showed left lower homonymous quadrantanopia. T2 weighted MR imaging revealed a high signal intensity in the right lateral geniculate body and optic radiation. Conventional angiography confirmed a partial occlusion of the right AChA. Conclusions : We report a case presented with left lower homonymous quadrantanopia as a sole manifestation of a partial AChA occlusion. Korean Journal of Stroke 1999;1(1):99~102
