This article briefly reviews the research findings on post-stroke rehabilitative therapy mainly published in 2008. Topics on func-tional recovery includes that of posterior circulation stroke, elderly stroke aged over 80 years and outcome according to pre-morbid physical activity. Rehabilitative strategies to improve functional recovery such as enforced nutritional support, mirror therapy, bilateral arm training, robotic therapy, treadmill training, non-invasive cortical stimulation, prism therapy, pharmacother-apy and botulinum toxin injection are also covered in this review.
