This paper offers a new approach to practice Vietnamese pronunciation, specifically to system of Vietnamese vowels. The main contents (matters) are as follow: Firstly, the paper briefly show the background to production of Vietnamese vowels.In this part, the paper consentrates to analyses the phonetic bases of Vietnamese vowels, such as the respiratory apparatus, the larynx, the supraglottal cavitiesand their roles in the articulation. The tongue and its movings play the most important role in there. Secondly, the paper analyzes the data and describes the relative "ANTERIOR / POSTERIOR" feature of Vietnamese vowels. This part offers two dimensions along which the position of articulation of vowels can be identified: the vertical dimension and the horizontal dimension. Therefore, if we found on the relative position "forward"- [anterior] and "back"-[posterior] of the tongue, the classification and description the Vietnamese vowels to become more clear and their phonetic specialities are more realistic. This is a new approach to practice Vietnamese pronunciation Thirdly, the paper suggests some practical solutions to Vietnamese vowels with some concrete methods and skills help the learners to improve and to correct their Vietnamese pronunciation.
