Even though North Korean(NK) Defectors who are resettling in the society of the South are rapidly increasing, the mental health services of NK Defectors have not yet received appropriate attention in research and practices. Furthermore, NK Defectors are severely suffering from such mental health problems as anxiety, depression, hopelessness, traumatic experiences(severe starvation, sepa-ration from families by death, women trafficking, prostitution, violence etc.).As foreign countries which accept refugees or immigrants regard mental health services as an important approach for the making foundations of readjustment, services for NK Defectors who are resettling in South are very important. In order to coordinate the system of delivery of mental health services for NK Defectors, on the basis of the community-based services approach developed in South, this study suggests such the system of the Hanawon, active utilization of community mental health center, mobilizing other related community organization. It also includes linking and coordinating services offered for NK Defectors within the system of delivery of mental health services in South.
