This thesis deals with the pathogenic factors, the mechanism of the occurrence and development of a disease, and the treating therapy related to the twelve extraordinary exogenous influences, which are substances or agents that have the ability to cause some type of diseases, especially in the region of the head and face, of the human body. The twelve extraordinary extraordinary exogenous influences refer to twelve kinds of exogenous influences, but they differ from the general pathogens. Most diseases caused by the twelve extraordinary exogenous influences that rise from the hollow orifices in the region of the head and face may be treated with reinforcing treating therapy according to the needle direction, because the causes and the symptoms of the diseases are due to the deficiency of Jung-Gi or Essential Gi. The therapeutic method of the pathogenic factors of the twelve extraordinary exogenous influences is to determine accupuncture points of the affected channel as well as Su points of respective externally and internally related channels. In general, the therapeutic properties of Su points are in the treatment of any Jang-Bu organ disorders. Pathogenis factors are classfied into two main groups: exogenous and endogenous. Exogenous pathogenic factors encompass atmospheric changes, pestilential pathogens and truma. These diseases caused by these factors are called exogenous diseases or external affections. Endogenous pathogenic factors are generally emotional factors, improper diet, fatigue and over-indulgence in sex. The diseased caused by endogenous pathogenic factors are called endogenous diseases or internal injuries. However, In relation to the twelve extra ordinary exogenous influences, there is not only little literature to refer to but also being transmitted by word of mouth. The chapter of the this study entitled Gu-Moon or Treating Therapy from Oral Inquiry is in the form of the catechasm between Whang-Je and Gi-baek. This thesis is devided into three chapters in contents. The first chapter consists of questions of the contents of the twelve extraordinary exogenous influences unrecorded in medical literature in addition to pathogenesis and pathology of the patogenic factors. The second chapter concentrates on the cause, pathogenesis, and its remedies against each disease of the twelve extraordinary exogenous influences of the yawn, the hiccup, the swallowing together with rapid respiration, the chillness, the eruption, the sneeze, the weakness of the whole body and the clumsiness of the limbs, tears and nasal discharge, the sigh, the slobber, tinnitus, and the biting one's own tongue. The third chapter synthesize the pathology and the therapy of the twelve extraordinary exogenous influences as well as the symptoms of the deficiency of Shang-Gi, Jung-Gi, and Ha-Gi.
