This study examines to reconstruct dialect's meaning and identity as a contents of korean poetry education. The application of dialect literary works to the poetry education, in which we can have access to the Korean emotion, culture, and history. The articles on the language education, has been carried on by literary education researcher, are not particularly desirable in my opinion. Poetry is meaningful in that the learners have a great opportunity to reach a better understanding of the language, as well as enriching their vocabulary, through the social, historical, and culture factors involved in the works. The literary education teaching materials should be learners interests in literary works and discover the principles of life through them. The characteristics of literary language make it possible to understand the society where target language is used by implicating various cultural values and reflecting a society profoundly. But Literary educational materials consist of works written in dialect language, most of them are far away from the experiences of contemporary learners. and then dialect is less concerned than standard language in korea society. Therefore, present our leaners dislike in education poetry of school. This time literary educational materials which include dialect language are not motivating and functional. Literary works are not only materials for language education to communicate but also materials for culture education to develope cultural understanding. Education should take care of the spiritual and creativity which could be cultivated through the discipline of korean language. Therefore, it should present the dialect words which have complicated open mind, and then so it has the possibility to resolve the crisis of literary education.
