The objective of this article is to grasp research methods and contents of local food thesis by analyzing local food asserted at the theses contributed on RISS. Also, through the analysis, this thesis aims at grasping the flow of research, meaning, policy implication of local food thesis. In order to content analysis of research outcomes, this study reviews analytical dimension divided into three branches: research area(research focus, study object, research scope, funding), methods(conceptual․descriptive, quantitative, qualitative research), research topics. In addition, this study analyzes research outcomes basic to trends of research methods, statistics techniques, qualitative research techniques. So, this article tries to analyze the 35’ outcomes in the theses contributed on RISS from 2008 to 2014. In this context, the major findings and results in this paper are as follows: the research trends in local food shows that decrease of conceptual․descriptive research proportion, and increase of quantitative researches, high level statistics techniques, practical problem solutions. Also, implications of the research results are as followings: First, expanding range of local food research from public Administration to humansociety, food, management sector etc. Second, the interest for local food research in a field of public administration.
