Report Errors
The purpose of this study is to verify the Corporate Social responsibility activities of global semiconductor companies in Taiwan and America named TSMC and Intel. As those two companies are global semiconductor companies worldwide, so they can be the model of CSR activities in semiconductor industry. Recently, There are increasing demands regarding CSR activities of company due to social atmosphere and perception change of various stakeholder. And CSR activities are considered to be a necessary activity for company's growth as many consumers prefer the company which executes CSR activity. Therefore, this study focused on four aspects of CSR activities which are Economic responsibility, Legal responsibility, Ethical responsibility and Philanthropic responsibility according to the study of Carroll(1991) and Hong Soonbok et al.(2012). As a result, this study showed that those two case study companies are doing a great job in CSR activity. Lastly, there are some implications about CSR activity for other semiconductor companies which are very helpful for their CSR activity.
