2016年在朝鲜平壤乐浪区域甫城里发现了一座壁画墓,2017年对该遗址进行发掘清理工作,并于2018年召开了两次座谈会。该遗址的特点是墓室地面由乐浪砖铺成,且墓壁上绘有壁画。本文以现场调查以及座谈会中获取的相关资料为基础,简单整理介绍遗址概况并略论墓葬编年以及墓主性质。具体通过墓葬结构、壁画布局、出行图、车舆形态与组合、铠马、蟠螭纹、麈尾、出土文物等方面探讨了墓葬编年与墓主性质。
新发现甫城里壁画墓可谓是平壤地区墓葬形式由砖室墓转向石室墓的过渡期形态, 作为中间环节,对于高句丽壁画墓的形成以及编年具有重要的学术意义。即,平壤地区墓葬经永和九年铭砖室墓(353) · 安岳3号墓(357)→平壤驿前壁画墓(4C后半)→甫城里壁画墓(4C末)→德兴里壁画墓(408),逐渐形成“高句丽壁画墓”。
