1960s as a unique development model of modernization, as westernization of materials and orientation to traditional values, is formed, women were required to function as tradition bearers and assistants in public realm where men’s labor force is concentrated. In other words, in this period, the popularization of female education, increased social advancement, and gender equality were publicized, and at the same time, women were asked to have virtues to contribute to modernization and were mobilized to the paradigm of the public realm development. Women were encouraged to have identity as a fixed wife, mother, or daughter at home and in family life.
The 『The Woman who comes in autumn』 and 『Lovers of the Brothers』 made the crazy pervasiveness of modernization ideology in women"s daily life take shape as literary works, by facing in front the love and desire which was infiltrated with morality, ethics, customs, or norms.
