Many modern designers have original and creative designs as strategic elements of space marketing. Among the expressive characteristics of Surrealism, the mask scale imprints the public with visual entertainment and shock, and enhances the bond between man and space by maximizing what the designer wants to convey. This study aims to build your own brand using a overscale object among the currently active designers, and to compare the spatial productions of Marcel Wanders and Phillippe Starck, which give the public an illusion and a repetitive deviation from their daily routines. As a method of study, first, examine the concept definition of surrealism and the type of surrealism that emerges in space and explore design philosophy based on the interviews of Phillippe Starck and Marcel Wanders. Second, based on the scale of the art of surrealism appearing in spatial performance, the mask scale of the object is divided into design elements and psychological elements to derive keywords, thus analyzing the case of Marcel Wanders’s and Phillippe Starck"s latest works. An analysis of space directing by Phillippe Starck and Marcel Wanders showed that they differentiate themselves from the method of Overscale expression applied to objects while symbolizing space by Overscaling objects that stand out in place and narrative. Marcel Wanders scaled out a colorful, place-like pattern, while Phillippe Starck highlighted the illusion by reflecting placability and Overscaling an object symbolizing epicity. The scale of space marketing, which imprints one"s brand on the public as an original and creative design, maximizes design and psychological factors, and thus puts the meaning of this study in presenting useful directions as a way of spatial analysis of non-daily spaces in the future.
