The wedding Geunbae(巹杯=Geunjan) of Dongloe-yeon(同牢宴) has not been studied in previous studies, and therefore, the author conducted the research by dividing this topic into two studies. This study was conducted focusing on the government offices and artisans involved in the production process and production of Geunbae used in the royal wedding in the Joseon Dynasty. The other study compared and examined the old rituals(古禮) and the aspects of continuity and transformation in the Joseon dynasty centered on the usage and forms of Geunbae. The results of this study are as follows. The change of aspects of the process from the material to the processing of Geunbae was classified into three periods, and it is confirmed that the government office and artisans related to the costume played a leading role in the production process. Government offices, artisans, and shops related to fabric and costume are involved in the whole process from Geunpyo(巹瓢: small gourd for Guenbae) preparation to its processing. The government offices involved in Geunbae preparation and processing are Hojo(戶曹), Gongjo(工曹), Saposhi(司圃寺), Sadoshi(司導寺), Naejashi(內資寺), Bongsangshi(奉常寺), Naeseomgshi(內贍寺), Sanguiwon(尙衣院), Jeyonggam(濟用監), and Pyeongsiseo(平市署), and artisans participating in processing are dyeing-artisan(染色匠) of Jeyonggam and silver-artisan(銀匠), wood-artisan(小木匠) and Dahoe-artisan (多繪匠. Dahoe: knitting) of Sanguiwon. The way Sanguiwon"s artisans work is as follows. When a temporary government agency of wedding or a regular government agency of wedding asks Gongjo and Sanguiwon to send artisans, artisans are dispatched to a temporary government agency or a regular government agency to set a time limit and do the work. During this period their main service at Sanguiwon is exempt. When a temporary government agency or a regular government agency asks for artisans, as they specifically ask them to send certainly experienced and skilled people", it is seen that how carefully they prepare for Geunbae. In addition, after the 17th century, it is confirmed that the textile shops of the market supplied the best quality Geunpyo to those agencies.
