Sagisawa Megumu’s literature addresses the nonmainstream life that was insufficient for the past. Through her literature, bring up changing oneself as a topic between past and present, ideals and realities. Most of her literary work, main themes are identity of marginal man like a Korean resident in Japan.
Since its debut as the youngest literary novelist in 1987, he has focused on the psychology of anxious human beings. And the work of the work, “A bird in the sea・A fish on the sky” is also dealing with the issue of identity can be seen. However, unlike previous works depicting the establishment of the individual in the framework of the family, this work shows a protagonist who establishes his own self in society by broadening his gaze.
This paper focuses on verifying the value of literature as texting itself. Because precious studies about Sagisawa literature concentrated on value of Korean Japanese literature.
I examined how the artist"s perception about the class of society shows. And in the development of her work, she described the expressions she intentionally set for effective portrayal. Furthermore, it is confirmed that the same expression is used in later works. Through these researches, we have clarified the literary value of “Gray Layer” and “Fingers” and confirmed the connection with the later work of the scribe.
