The purpose of this research is to devise effectively and efficient teaching methods for Korean students who get employment in Japan. In this time, we attempted to use mind map in self analysis in job hunting and examined the effect and improvement points. We used the mind map in the self-analysis phase in a class preparing Japanese resumes at Busan University of Foreign Studies, and conducted a questionnaire survey on students who created mind maps. The main questionnaire contents are “impressions of creating mind map for self-analysis”, “effects of creating mind map” and “improvement point of using mind map”. In particular, we used text mining method to grasp the main effect for questionnaire result of mind map impression. As a result of the survey, we confirmed the usefulness of using mind map for self-analysis, and confirmed that it is useful for preparing resumes and job hunting activities. Besides, in order to use the mind map more effectively, we examined the improvement points, such as the introduction of tasks and feedback by teachers. We will also report on the future issues we have come to see from the results.
