This study is to analyze factors affecting the period from graduation to employment of university graduates in social science majors based on Graduates Occupation Mobility Survey 2016 (GOMS 2015). based on the above analysis, the conclusions of the study are as follows: first, age among other personal characteristics of bachelor’s in tourism influenced unemployment period the most. that is, the older the graduate gets, the longer the unemployment period gets. second, the comparison of the unemployment period of tourism majors with other five social science majors: business administration; social welfare; economics; public administration; and law, showed that graduates in social welfare major took longer to get jobs than tourism, whereas graduates in public administration major took shorter than tourism. third, an undergraduate group who began preparing for jobs had shorter unemployment period than those who began employment preparation after the graduation. fourth, those who had language training abroad had shorter unemployment period. last, parent(s) and financial status factors showed that the higher the income of parent(s) at the time of admission into universities, the shorter the unemployment period.
