This study was to investigate the ideal model of community recreation center by using qualitative research, and to interpret the inquiry for recreation center and facility of the specific residents who live in a certain district which is called "Gu" of Seoul. As qualitative research approach, 6 research participants were recruited by random, cluster arid convenience samplings. The age rages were from 16 to 67, and three men and three women were participated Main data collection method was accomplied by interviews, and sub-methods were used by telephone interviews, reflective journal of researchers. collected newspaper and ethnographic data for the specific district. The research conclusion has suggested two categorizations as following : First, in terms of recreation center environment, facility and recreation program were emerged. Good facility which research participants said about the ideal recreation center is consisted of thee components such as traffic condition, member fee and center space. Program was recognized by selected recreation leader and continuos participation attitude. Second, a degree of service quality is emerged as the significant factor. It depended upon the degree of free using condition and management of time schedule. Ultimately, this study pursued to suggest two considerations First, Korean society now has to think of well-being of district(Gu) residents by improvement of public recreation support. Second, it will be contributed to go up the life quality as many advanced nations do.
