The purpose of this study is to provide the implications for sports club and community recreation program settled through analysis of recreation operating system of the United States. For the study, the data collected and analyzed the documentation from the departments and recreation-related associations in U.S. The findings are as follows: First, the federal government’s policy and recreation policies of the provincial government has established a governance that operate in a mutually integrated. Second, community are arranged and operate recreation facilities to meet the needs of various residents and sports programs for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly are operated year-round by community. Third, the United States was building an authentication system of selecting personnels with the duties of capacity building programs, facilities, equipment management, budgeting, and personnel management. Finally, for sports clubs settle down in Korea, various program development and training and management of creative professionals as well as central and local government to build a sports governance are needed.
