Purpose: This study examines the status and problems of representative case of the public housing provision policy for the homeless class among the residential welfare policies implemented by each government. This study is intended to be used as a basic data for setting the direction of the housing welfare policy for the homeless class living in residential areas that fall short of the minimum standard in housing. Method: This study examines that the process of changes in public housing policies of successive governments in order to improve the residential environment of the homeless class. To do this, Chapter 2 focused on the producer and consumer support methods of housing welfare policies, and Chapter 3 analyzed and synthesized the policies by comparing them with each other. Result: It is necessary to strengthen the system to increase the supply of public housing, to improve the internal and external quality, and to identify the recipients. In addition, a new policy is needed to allow households of various classes to live in a rental house. It is also considered necessary to improve existing support methods, such as combining the public rental housing policy with the rental subsidy policy. Therefore, it is necessary to study not only the housing supply but also the whole of the housing welfare policy.
