Confusion of words is the most common type of lexical error in Chinese inter-language vocabulary system, and the spatial dimensional adjective is the semantic cluster of the concept of spatial measurement. Based on the large-scale inter-language corpus, this paper takes 17 basic spatial dimensional adjectives as the object of study, and observes confusing misuse distribution characteristics of these words. The study found that the spatial dimensional adjectives misused each other, and the inter-word relations was quite complex, and formed two confusing misuse word groups by taking “big” “small” as the core, and positive adjectives misused more serious than negative adjectives, and misused axis pointed to the more high frequency words. From the perspective of semantic relations, metaphorical senses misused more severe than the prototype senses, and high frequency sense of high frequency words misused more serious. From the perspective of the collocation category of confusing words, confusion words are mainly misused in collocation with nouns in the following categories: human body space category, abstract category, age category, and numerical category. This study will help us further analyze the causes of the confusing words and provide suggestions for teaching.
