As for the results of the empirical analysis, observed variables were drawn from factor analysis and reliability analysis of store atmosphere factors found in prior researches for restaurant atmosphere factors, which were categorized into design, ambient, personal, and cleanness factors to analyze their influence relations with various variables, obtaining the following results. First, restaurant atmosphere factors (design, ambient, personal, cleanness) affected sub-factors of customer emotions, such as pleasure, arousal, and dominance. In particular, the dominance factor rarely found in prior researches was found to affect the personal factor in this study. Second, three dimensions of customer emotions-pleasure, arousal, and dominance-affected restaurant image. Third, the restaurant atmosphere factors had the greatest effects on the cleanness factor of restaurant image, followed by personal, ambient, and design factors. Fourth, the restaurant atmosphere factors had the most significant effects on the ambient factor of customer behavior, followed by personal, design, and cleanness factors. Fifth, restaurant image had significant effects on customer behavior. Sixth, after analyzing direct and indirect effects of the atmosphere factors on customer emotions, restaurant image, and customer behavior and its paths, the restaurant atmosphere factors were found to have direct effects on customer emotions and restaurant image and indirect effects on customer behavior through customer emotions restaurant image.
