This study provides the political suggestion of old people`s welfare and ADL(Activities of Daily Living) index review in korea. This study offers the difference of 1998 and 2001 of KIHASA`s(Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs) findings. In IADL, the index of 2001`s findings developed the contents of survey with life-style and cultural customs of Korea. ADL index of old people in Korea is tightly related to aging society, and shows that the behavior of not only the old aged but the female aged people is restricted. The figures of the frail old people in view of ADLs and IADLs in korea is about 45.3%of the total old population. Then the everyday life of frail old people restricted in one or above fields ADIs and IADLs and below 23point in MMSE(Mini-Mental Status Exam). There is the increased social support and medical cost burden because of aging society. Therefore, social welfare and public care systems required a long-term care of the physical and mental handicapped aged people. It is necessary to introduce and institutionalize of public care insurance. The results of this study shows that the continuous further research, and the support program are necessary for aged people at ADL.
