This study has been performed to analyze general perception of the elderly on their helping behaviors for their grandparents. In this study, it was observed that the elderly subjects perceive their ordinary helping behaviors such as household chores for child rearing, playing together, and guiding school assignments positively affect their morale and emotion in general. They are very satisfied with a feeling that they are helpful giving advices on critical decisions, guiding and encouraging daily lives, and offering financial and active assistances when with their grandchildren perceive more deeply that they are helpful for eating outside together, caring when sick, and giving critical assistances on urgent situations, while living elderly only perceive somewhat lower on the same issues. Overall in this study, it is concluded that intimate daily contacts with their grandchildren are primary source for enhancing emotionality & therefore life quality of the urban elderly.
