The purpose of this study is to examine the typology and governance structure of public bodies. Public bodies are composed of national public bodies and local public bodies which differ from governance structure respectively. Therefore, it is keenly necessary to analyze problems on the typology of public bodies. This study analyzed external and internal governance on governance structure of public bodies. In addition, this study showed related domestic laws on management of public bodies as compared with the OECD Guidelines. It was meaningful that this study helped to propose alternatives on law drawing a comparison between national and local public enterprises. The results to improve governance structure are the followings. First, it is essential to separate distinctly ownership from supervision body. Second, it should be apportioned power among the members of the board of directors and taken place institutional complement to a committee of inspection. Third, the typology should be reorganized as commercial applications andmarketability standards.
