Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate satisfaction of the powered exoskeleton (Rewalk<SUP>TM</SUP> ). Background: Rewalk holds positive impact as a safe independent gait and activity of daily life for motor-complete thoracic and lumbar level spinal cord injury (SCI). However, there has been no investigation for the Rewalk that is specifically focusing on the users’ satisfaction to improve the problem. Method: 5 SCI patients (T5~T10, AIS A) were enrolled. For the satisfaction of Rewalk, All 5 SCI patients received the Rewalk training consisted of 20 sessions for 4 weeks. The questionnaire consists of four evaluation areas (safety, effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction). The 5-point Likert scale was used for each question (1-very dissatisfied, 2-somewhat dissatisfied, 3-neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, 4-somewhat satisfied, 5-very satisfied). Results: In user satisfaction questionnaires, mean scores of safety was 3.77, effectiveness 3.60, efficiency 3.30, satisfaction 4.09. Conclusion: In the present study, SCI patients were somewhat satisfied with the use of Rewalk. However, they experienced palmar pain, heavy backpack, unstable knee fixation, and fatigue problem during training. Application: We hope to improve these problems and develop upgraded Rewalk.
