Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate of driver seat comfort during lng-term driving using simulator. Background: Recently modern car seat had been developed and became increasingly complex and sophisticated. Customers expected an increasing level of comfort. To quantification, trying to measure seat comfort previous studies using questionnaire, EMG, FEM and development structure but limitation to evaluated car seat comfort. Method: Two participants were conducted test. The simulator was consisted electric steering wheel system, 6-axis motion platform, real-car seat and acoustic vibration system which were copied as its actual size and environment. Participants conducted virtual driving simulator(Euro truck2) during 120 min each seat back angle. When participants driving, we took video(Kinect V2, USA) and measuring pressure mat(X3 LX100, Canada) where seat pan and seat back. To evaluate car seat comfort, we designed evaluation method which was calculate a moment caused by participant`s upper-body using pressure matt. Results: Results shows that increase the discomfort as time goes on, especially neck, low back, shoulder and buttock. When the times goes on, the moments were increased, too. Conclusion:.This results suggested that a method of evaluation of seat comfort is could be alternative evaluation method to car seat comfort for long-term driving. Application: The results of the evaluation driving seat comfort, might be expect that evaluation of car seat comfort and it could be recommend to driver for good posture real-time when they driving.
