This study explored the preference types of websites of the disabled through Q methodology and tried to grasp the characteristics of each type. 25 Q samples were extracted from the literature review and consultation with experts in related fields on web accessibility and welfare for the disabled. The questionnaire survey was conducted on P samples composed of 23 persons consisting of disabled people using the disabled welfare center. As a result of analyzing by PC QUANL, the preference types of websites of the handicapped were classified into four types: 1) popularity pursuit type, 2) quality and specialty pursuit type, 3) convenience pursuit type, 4) individual desire and interest pursuit type. In this study, we presented the characteristics of each preference type and discussed ways to improve the utilization of websites of the disabled based on the results and the specific requirements obtained through in-depth interviews.
