국가별로 다양한 국가표준 거버넌스를 가지고 있다. 이를 거시적으로 분류하고자 표준 거버넌스를 민관협력구조는 정부주도와 민간주도로, 권한집중도는 집중과 분산으로 나누는 분석 틀을 개발하여, 행정협치형, 통합관리형, 시장주도형 그리고 권위적시장형 4개 유형을 도출하여 10 개 국가에 적용하였다. 그 결과, 우리나라는 행정협치형, 중국은 통합관리형, 미국은 시장주도형 그리고 권위적시장형은 독일이었다. 현재 미국과 유럽 서방국가에서는 정부의 참여가 촉구되고 있으며, 표준 후발국가에서는 민간의 성장으로 인하여 이들의 역할이 더욱 커질 것으로 보인다. 따라서 향후에는 국가 간의 차이가 더욱 감소할 것으로 판단된다.
