Shin Kyeong-lim started his poetic career from Farmer’s Dance (Nongmu) of Changbi (Creation & Criticism) Publishers in 1975, got settled in the center of popular movement in the times of Korean change covering 1970’s through 1980’s and established himself as a typical poet bearing playfulness. It is thought that the attempts for this transformation was a natural changeover owing to the playfulness in Shin Kyeong-lim’s poetry. W. B. Yeats carried out a drama movement subjectively in search of Irish unique identity protesting the popular cultural change of Irish middle classes. The Irish folklore and myth which the poet chose was the weapon of an artistic resistance. Compared with Shin Kyeong-lim, he also played a poet’s role in society and in the second half he was immersed in himself again to sublimate all the enthusiasm of such young days into foresight. Although the playfulness which two poets pursued is different, it is identical in the point that they tried to search for the source in the popular myth and folklore, and that they wanted the playfulness to be performed in front of the public and audience. And it can be known that two poets made a ceaseless effort to search for daily existence for the literary achievement meeting the limit of the times and they changed to strive the transformation into the inner life of the poets themselves.
