The up-to-date business environment for Korean manufacturers are very complex and rapidly changing. In other words, the companies have faced with various changes such as small quantity batch production, diversification of customer demands, and short life cycles of products. Accordingly, the Korean manufacturing companies are in need of more efficient production planning and scheduling techniques. In this paper, the research trends of scheduling techniques in Korea are investigated to provide relevant information to researchers in this field. Also, some implications for future researches are proposed by classifying literatures published in Korea over the last 10 years according to industry and analyzing its features.
