Some historians have insisted that the academic community involved in the study of the Korean ancient history has approved the perspective of Japanese colonial historians. In this paper the author argues against the non-factual views of them; for example, they suggest that 2,333 B.C. should be recognized as the year of the beginning of Dangun Joeon founded by Dangun. Their argument is similar to the ‘historical viewpoint for the emperor’s country (Kougokushikan皇國史觀)’ that recognized the Emperor Jinmu(神武) origin in the myth as a fact. They also suggest that the history of Manchuria in ancient times should be inverted into part of Korean history because Koreans lived and made countries in that region. Furthermore, they apply this logic to the subject of migration of Koreans to the islands of Japan from which the Japanese imperial family originated. This kind of perspective is nothing but a repeat of the notion of ‘one root of Japan and Korea (Ilseontongjoron日鮮同祖論)’ or ‘the theory of Janese rule in the southern part of Korea (theory of Mimananihonhu任那日本府說)’suggested by Japanese colonists. This could provide the young generation with an imperialistic view and in this point it is dangerous.
