This article is described to overall activities and introductions of Im Gangseong and Lee Namu to their shaman world Sejong City. As already mentioned they are native shamans who started their shaman works mainly in Sejong city and Jochiwon-eup, Yeongi-gun, Chungcheongnam-do since 1970s.
Today, the boundaries of ceremonies for exorcism or good fortune are fading. In particular, the exorcism rite performed by a shaman in the standing position in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province is beyond the boundaries of local tradition exorcism and destroying it. This could be a pursuit of new as well as a destruction of uniqueness. As this context, this article is recorded and organized the two native shamans"s procedures, introductions to the shaman world and how to learn managing the exorcism of Sejong City.
This transcribed data includes not only the procedures of becoming shamans but also complementary band of monks and shamans, process of various exorcisms in the past, etc. These data are representative of traditional culture for the exorcism. Even though it seems trivial but is worth in itself. In short, I expect these data will be the significant base in research of Sejong city shamanism.
