본 연구는 날로 성장하고 있는 한류문화컨텐츠 시장에 비추어 볼 때, 한류의 핵심수용국가 중 하나인 중국내 소비자들의 한국에 대한 의료관광의향에 영향을 미치는 선행요인들을 규명할 목적으로 한류에 대한 호감도가 국가 이미지, 한류스타동일시, 의료서비스품질의 세 매개변수를 통해 의료관광의향에 영향을 미치는 지를 검증 하였다. 본연구의 검중결과 첫째, 한류에 대한 중국소비자의 호감도는 국가이미지 (경제 이미지와 관계이미지)에서 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 국가이미지는 의료관광의향에 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한류 호감도는 스타동일시에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 스타동일시는 의료관광의향에 유의한 영향을 보였다. 셋째, 문화 호감도는 의료서비스품질에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 의료서비스품질은 의료관광의향에 부분적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다.
