The first goal of this study is to seek ways to control the obese students` weight continuously through their lives by improving their low self-esteem through an exercise program with Nectar-thinking education. The Nectar-thinking education program was redesigned by researchers while the researchers and subjects designed the exercise program together. The second goal is to find out the effect of Nectar-thinking and complex training on body composition, blood lipid and self-esteem in the obese students. For this study, eighteen obese male students were divided into three groups: experimental group A: 6, experimental group B: 6, control group C: 6. They partipated in after school programs for 16 weeks. Blood tests were performed in S hospital. to assure the homogeneity of each variables and analysis of repeated measure ANOVA. Comparing the control group, the body composition of the two experimental groups(;one with the Nectar-thinking education program and the other with both the Nectar education program and the exercise program) was statistically significant. The two groups showed more decreases in weight, BMI, %fat and body fat amount p < .001. In blood lipid, the two experimental groups showed more noticeable decreases in TG, TC, and LDL-C than the control group. Also, the two group showed a significant increase in HDL-C p < .001. The two experimental groups showed statistical significance in body composition, blood lipid and self-esteem. To prove the effectiveness of this study, it is required to develop an easily applicable program at school. In an ever changing modern society, it is also needed to design an integrated MindBodymedicine program which encompasses Nectar-thinking education, diet and psychological approach.
