This study examines the effects of self-leadership program on pre-service teachers’ self-efficacy and perception of teaching profession. The subjects of this study were 40 pre-service early childhood teachers at a university located in Chungcheong area. The experimental group were 20 pre-service early childhood teachers who worked with self-leadership program for 16 weeks. The results of this study were as follows; First, the self-leadership program had positive influences on pre-service early childhood teachers’ self-efficacy, especially general self-efficacy. Second, the self-leadership program had positive influences on pre-service early childhood teachers’ perception of teaching profession, especially on teacher professionalism and teacher orientation. Over all, the self-leadership program helped pre-service early childhood teachers to improve their self-efficacy and perception of teaching profession.
