Royal families were supposed to live idle lives, but the life of Prince Inpyeong was an exceptional case. Prince Inpyeong"s role has been evaluated as the absolute peace in the King Hyojong era. To solve sensitive diplomatic issues between Choson－Qing smoothly, Inpyeong took the critical role of an envoy. He took on almost all the difficult tasks in diplomacy. All his diplomatic journeys and achievements had the source in the close loving relationship with the king. The prince played a crucial role to cause the fall of Ming Dynasty and watched Qing Dynasty during the journeys. He provided information of the internal affairs of Qing Dynasty to King Hyojong. It was a significant source to make Hyojmg’s Plan to Conquer the North possible. His poetry was mainly to communicate with King Hyojong. The poems seek after a hero, enjoy the feeling of freedom elegantly, show sentiment of friendship and loyalty for his king and brother, Hyojong.
