This study was aimed to examine the factors contributing to isolation of foreign on a multicultural family in Korea. The study subjects were 431 foreign of a multicultural family who enrolled in multi-cultural centers or local social welfare facilities in Gyeongbuk and Chungnam province. The results showed that self-worth, cultural adaptation, marital satisfaction, and social support were important factors affecting the isolation. Less levels of isolation was seen in foreign immigrant of a multicultural family exhibiting higher levels of self-worth, cultural adaptation, marital satisfaction, and social support. Based on the results, we emphasized the necessity of supporting their cultural adaptation for improving the isolation, and proposed several suggestions for improving and supplying marriage stability, resources for social support, and their self-worth.
