The purpose of this study is to examine the importance of and satisfaction with credibility of golf broadcast commentators and propose constructive suggestions related to factors of commentator credibility. For the study, 268 copies of data were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0 based on frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and paired t-test, and importance-performance analysis (IPA) was conducted to analyze the importance and satisfaction. The result was as follows: first, in commentator credibility, expertise was most important, followed by dynamic, reliability, and popular appeal, while, in satisfaction, expertise, reliability, dynamic, and popular appeal were most important in the order. Second, analysis of difference in importance and satisfaction according to four types of credibility of golf commentators and specific factors of different types, significant difference was found in all factors of credibility except ’generosity’, ‘solid perspective’, and ‘audacity.’ Lastly, in the IPA matrix, in the quadrant Ⅰ, ‘expert knowledge’, ‘rich experience’, ‘data and preparation’, ‘fair judgment’, ‘qualification’, ‘intellectual ability’, ‘sophistication’, ‘friendliness’, ‘honesty’, and ‘wit’ were located, in the quadrant Ⅱ, ‘use of easy terms’ and ‘warmth’, and, in the quadrant Ⅲ, ‘solid perspective’, ‘audacity’, ‘generosity’, ‘consideration’, ‘cheerfulness’, ‘fame’, ‘appearance’, ‘sense of humor’, ‘improvisation’, ‘authority’, and ‘seriousness.’ No factor was included in the quadrant Ⅳ.
