To forecast color preference of residents and trends is important in the rapidly changing modern society in order to plan interior space for the visual satisfaction and the pleasant environment. Specially, the color plans of small apartments are more important in the individualization and differentiation. The objective of this study was to survey and analyze a color perception and preference of respondents and to suggest a interior color plan of the livingroom and bedroom. The method of research was a field survey by questionnaire. Respondents were 20~30"s adults that can be called pre-client of small apartments. This survey was conducted during July 2013 and a total of 120 people responded to the survey. The results were as follows : 1) Respondents were sensitive to colors and trends by estimating as an important factor when they purchase products. 2) In case of livingroom, they preferred the simple and modern style of neutral tone with the refined color point. In case of bedroom, the color preference was very similar with the livingroom. So it founded that they pursued an unity in these spaces. 3) Their preferring color tone in usual and that in planning spaces are not accordant. So it founded that general preferred color is not reflected in the space plan. In contrast, their preferring atmosphere in usual and that in planning spaces are accordant in a choice of adjective imaginable subjectively.
