The aim of this study is to investigate acoustic properties and perceptual cues of stops in Daegu dialect speakers in their 50`s and to discuss generation differences by the comparison with previous study dealing with Daegu dialect speakers in their 20`s. The results show VOT in Daegu dialect speakers in their 50`s is in order of ``fortis<lenis<aspirated``, and difference of VOT between fortis and lenis is smaller than that between lenis and aspirated. F0 is in order of ``lenis< fortis<aspirated``, the difference of F0 between lenis and aspirated is closer than between fortis and lenis. In perception, Daegu dialect speakers in their 50`s perceive the short VOT as fortis regardless F0. Then, they perceive as lenis and aspirated with relatively long VOT according to F0. Compared with Daegu dialect speakers in their 20`s, the main differences between generations are realization patterns of VOT and weight of F0 cue. In VOT, there is a difference between generations according to whether VOT of lenis stop is closer to that of fortis or aspirated. In addition, weight of F0 in stop production and perception is greater for 20`s than 50`s.
