The purpose of this study is to establish the quantitative methodology for demonstrative pre-nouns by co-occurrence in Korean. This paper shows the quantitative method for the study of collocation and colligation in Korean. For this study, the paper uses the Sejong part-of-speech tagged corpus on a 5,500,000 word scale. For the exact and objective quantitative study, this paper uses most suitable statistic formula which are examined in the previous study. By demonstrative pre-nouns 이(I-this), 그(GUE-that), 저(JEO-that), this paper describes the characteristics of adjacent co-occurrence of base words. The result of this study shows the different linguistic characteristics of words in the same POS. This study is meaningful in that a new methodology in the Korean quantitative research is presented for collocation and colligation.
