This research paper aims at inquiring how the swimming class applied with peer??teaching model changes the middle school students' exercise skills, attitudes, and interests about physical??studying and investigating the learning effect of physical studying between two groups. To accomplish the objects of this??research, the class-targeting middle school students who applied two coed beginners' classes as a special??lecture during the vacation of university sports center located in M city of Gyeongsangnam-do-was progressed.??The experimental group of the class was applied with peer teaching model, and the control group was progressed??with the traditional teaching method: demonstration of instructor and linguistic information delivery. In??conclusion, the class applied with peer teaching model is revealed to be effective not only in improvement of exercise skill??but in affective factors like participating attitude and interest. Individual peer teacher provides the students'??interests that linguistic information delivery system of teacher-centered classroom blocks and substitutes teachers'??feedback of overcrowded classroom, and consequently it is reveled to be effective in development of both personal??exercise skill and affective factors. These results expect that enjoyable classes which satisfy students' demands such??as learner-centeredness and self-directed learning are possible if peer teaching model is well applied.
