This study is to research textile products` new roles in fashion brand hotels and analyze the characteristic of the textile design in the new hotel. Hotel, which has been traditionally conceived as a resting place, is now changing rapidly as people are pursuing new life style. "The fashion brand hotel" refers to a new type of hotel which is managed by such prominent fashion houses as Versace and Armani. This brand-new hotel creates unprecedented cultural values in that it covers both realms of fashion and hotel. Two methods have been used for this study. First, some treatises and literatures cited have been analyzed out to research positive effects of developing fashion brand hotels. Second, case studies of existing fashion brand hotels were done for comparative analysis of textile design usage between fashion product and hotel interior. Following results have been generated through these study methods. First, the new Hotel embellished with designers` genuine qualities attracts customers and boosts the hospitality sector. Moreover, it brings new fields and opportunities to fashion designers, which, in turn, enhance the growth of the textile industry. The textile design which have functional and aesthetical characteristic are widely used in both fields of fashion design and the Hotel industry. The authentic functional and aesthetical traits of textiles are vividly displayed in fashion and hotel interior products. Although the fashion brand hotel, which has cultural value, is expected to be greatly conducive to various domestic industry, it is not yet drawing much attention in Korea.
