Report Errors
This study estimated the impact of government support for internal R&D investment and R&D cooperation in 2012 Korea Innovation Survey (STEPI). It also looked at government support systems, internal R&D investment, and R&D cooperation to conduct an empirical
analysis of their impact on innovation. Analytical methods were estimated with the Bivariate Probit Model.
First, technology development support demonstrated the potential to increase internal R&D investment. Second, technical development support and human resources support were shown to add to the strengthening of R&D cooperation. Third, the expansion of technology development support was determined to potentially help process innovation. Marketing/Purchasing support showed a positive effect on both product innovation and process innovation.
Therefore, internal R&D investment and taking advantage of government support programs are needed in order to achieve technological innovation for an enterprise, and this study suggests that a variety of government support programs are required.
