Among the commentaries on the Dashengqixinlun(『大乘起信論』) is the Dashengqixinlunyishu(『大乘起信論義疏』)(DYishu) which was written by Zongmi (宗密) and is an abridged form of Dashengqixinlunyiji(『大乘起信論義記』)(DYiji) by Fazang(法藏). Thus we can figure out how Zongmi understood Fazang`s thought by examining this text. There is an assertion that Zongmi construed DYiji from the viewpoint of Wonhyo(元曉)`s Daeseunggisinnonso(『大乘起信論疏』) (DSo). According to this, this text could let us know the influence of Wonhyo on the Chinese buddhism and the interpretation of Chinse buddhism on Wonhyo`s thought. There is a copy of DYishu at Jangseogak Archives of the Academy of Korean Studies but no research about the text has been done until now including philological studies. This paper clarifies the followings: (1) the circulation of DYishu in Korea; (2) that DYishu at Jangseogak Archives was the earlier one than other manuscripts and xylographs circulated in Japan by comparing those copies of Dyishu; (3) how DYishu accepted and was influenced by Wonhyo`s thought through philologically investigating the way of abridging shown in DYishu. DYishu is an abridged form of Fazang`s DYiji but actually consists of Fazang`s DYiji, Wonhyo`s DSo and Zongmi`s own commentary. This might show the proof of reformation of DYiji by Zongmi and reflect Zongmi`s perspective on the Dashengqixinlun. Henceforth, based on these philological researches, Zongmi`s thought on the Dashengqixinlun and Zongmi`s way of accepting Wonhyo`s thought should be examined more deeply.
