Team cohesion plays an key role in team effectiveness through forming interpersonal bond, providing individual pride, and increasing work commitment in business organizations under recent turbulent business environment today. This study aims to investigate the interactive relationships between of emotional leadership and team cohesion in increasing employees` organizational commitment based on multi-dimensional model of organizational commitment in IT-service area. Using survey data obtained from R&D employees working at a leading game related IT-service providing company in Korea, a structural equation model was proposed and tested to examine the multiple relationships among the proposed variables. The results supported all the proposed hypotheses. In particular, it was found that team cohesion`s mediation effect was the most salient in affective commitment. Based on the results, this study suggests that cohesion formation among organizational members is a crucial factor for building effective team management. Practical implications and suggestions for future research are also discussed.
