Nowadays, the quality of network has been rapidly improved; speed of the Internet has been increased while prices of electronic devices become lower. At present, a smartphone with data-transfer function can be possessed by anyone. With benefit of those, the proposed system was built in order to encourage students with passive learning to participate and take more action in the class using mobile devices. The teacher will be able to learn if the students understand the lesson in the classroom promptly. Classroom Response Systems (CRSs) allow students and teachers to exchange ideas and discuss problems via Web-based application with no native apps in mobile phone. The proposed system allows teacher and students to communicate easily in real-time at the classroom with native application for Android mobile devices. This paper presents the design of graphic user interface (GUI), database, and a pilot system of a real-time interactive classroom using Android mobile devices that can access to the Internet. The system consists of mobile applications for teachers and students, Web server, MySQL database. There are three users in this system which is students, teachers and an administrator. To investigate efficiency of the pilot system, fifteen students participated in the class using the proposed application. The result showed that the students are satisfied with the application and willing to use it in other classes.
