The social environment of emphasizing education has been formed by fulfilling Knowledge-Based Society. As a result of that, the competition rate of university in Korea is belong to the lowest group even though the rate of entering university has been occupied by high ranking in OECD countries.
The happiness-index of teenager in Korea was presented by the lowest group in OECD countries. Because the social environment has been affecting to teenager in the mental health and the quality of life as well. Nevertheless, the reason why we focus on a society based on academic success is caused by politics, economy, social structure, values of citizen in Korea.
The low-income group can be easily feeling relative deprivation against the establishment.
In case of the low-income group, the significance about university education and entering university could be kind of different against other group.
This study consists of understanding theirs life on theirs situation and reviewing the way to cognize theirs universe by themselves. We would like to adopt the grounded theory approach in qualitative research in order to collect related material and draw appropriate theory.
First of all, we would like to set-up ‘What’s the factors of making decision about entering university?’ as a main subject. We aim to provide basic material which is able to improve the quality of teenager’s life by suggesting the specific way to change from corrupted significance to sincere education’s significance. In order to make it, we have been studying the important factors of entering university and the right way which is for the teenager in the low-income group as well.
