The Study is aimed to compare the evaluations of the Tang Poetry expressed in the 『Zhifengleishuo』 by Yi Su-gwang of Joseon (Korea) and the 『OubeiShihua』 by Zao-Yi of Tang (China) . The comparative study will evaluate the works of Li-Bai and TuFu through the intellectuals of Korea and China.
In the first part, this paper introduces the comparative evaluation focusing on the Li-Bai’ poetry. As the Li-Bai’s poetry takes a high position in the poetry history in China, studies on his poetry were made deeply in various fields. Based on these studies, my study approaches Li-Bai’s poetry through poetry and paintings expressed in both Korea and China with different view. It differentiates my study from the existing ones and makes my study meaningful in that comparative consideration on Li-Bai’s poetry by intellectuals in Korea and China.
My paper shows detail evaluations expressed in both books, 『Zhifengleishuo』 and 『OubeiShihua』 through four aspects ; 1) Creation theory , 2) Character style, , 3) Yuefu theory, and 4) Historical research. And then through the detail evaluations, it also considers Li-Bai’s reputations, character, and the adaption of Li-Bai’s poetry in Joseon.
