This paper reviewed Korean Exclamations and Criteria to classify for Parts of Speech. Despite Exclamations are one of the major Parts of Speech in Korean did not receive attention by researchers. The main objective of this study is that Exclamations given a reasonable grammatical position in Korean word class system. It is generally known that Exclamations have not any grammatical relations with constituent of sentence. Two aspects were examined. First, what is understanding how the Exclamations in school grammar and theory grammar related Exclamations Second, review for the Parts of Speech classification criterion. The review results are as follows. First, functional characteristics of Exclamations had been understood coexist on the word-layer, sentence-layer, discourse-layer in terms of school grammar. Second, the Exclamations were defined as a discourse words and minor sentence in view of theory grammar. As a result, the status of Exclamations was unclear in Parts of Speech system. In the present study was reviewed a various possibilities in order to give a reasonable position in Parts of Speech for Exclamations. It has been proposed that reasonable position of Exclamations in Korean word class system should be granted through a grammatical relationship with ending in sentence. However, there is need to discuss more later.
