This study aims to investigate the relationship between the factors of delinquency and variables of secondary student-athletes in organized sports system in terms of the Social Control and the Social Learning Theories. Especially, This study focus on analyzing the social and psychological factors that affect delinquency of student-athletes in secondary school. For an in-depth study, the qualitative research was given to 5 student-athletes in Incheon who have committed a misdeed sampled by a purposeful sampling method, and was analyzed by using demesnial analysis and taxonomic analysis after an in-depth interview. This research used member check, peer debriefing, and triangulation to verify reliability and validity. With the above methods and procedures, the conclusions of this study are as follows; First, The role conflict and excessive pursuing goals have influence on student-athletes` delinquency in terms of the Social Control Factors. In other words, athletics-oriented life at school makes student-athletes think little of classes and study at school and excessive pursuing goals by fair means or foul causes a deviation and delinquency in the competition and a daily life. Second, Hanging out with delinquent friends, imitation and following of violence have influence on student-athletes` delinquency in terms of the Social Learning Factors. In other words, because of the excessive tension and conflict, student-athletes tend to release tension and conflict by hanging out with delinquent friends. Also, imitation and following of violence, with a pro attitude to violence and giving violence meaning which causes more violence.
